Kavrepalanchwok, April 24 : The number of Corona Virus infection is rising the district since the past few days. According to the District COVID-19 infection control, prevention and treatment centre, 23 new infections were reported on Friday.
The number was 19 on Thursday and 11 on Wednesday and six on Tuesday. The total number of active cases in the district is 82 including 43 men, according to the centre.
"The number of infection is witnessing a steady growth and hence special precaution needs to be observed," said chief of the District Health Office, Dr Nagendra Kumar Jha. The infections on Friday included four-year-old child to 81 years old.
More than 3,450 people have been infected in the district so far, with 45 deaths. Among the 13 local levels, Dhulikhel municipality has reported the highest number of infections with 26 following by 15 in Panauti and 14 in Banepa municipalities. Three of the local levels—Khanikhola, Mahabharat and Bethanchowk have not reported any infections.
