Kathmandu, Nov. 29: Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Kamal Thapa has announced his candidacy for the party chair in the upcoming unity national convention. The RPP is organising its national convention from December 1 to 3 in Kathmandu.
Thapa said that he is contesting the poll for the party chair since he is not allowed to deviate by leaving the party’s tasks halfway.
“The unity national convention is not just for namesake. It should be made united with spirit, expression, and deeds. A message of unity, goodwill, and consensus should be disseminated,” he added.
After the party’s establishment in 2047, Thapa has led the party for three terms as the chairman.
On the occasion, Thapa said that he would retire from the party’s responsibility after preparing a foundation for a monarchy with democracy and a Hindu kingdom.
