Banepa, May 11 : The All-Nepal Free Student Union (ANFSU), Kavrepalanchowk has provided safety gears to the frontline journalists and security personnel working in Kavrepalanchowk district during the second wave of Covid-19.
The student wing of the CPN (UML) distributed 750 set of surgical masks, 100 set of sanitizer bottles, 30 set of face shield and 10 set of steamers to the office of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) in Kavrepalanchowk on Monday.
CPN (UML) Kavrepalanchowk chapter secretary Deepak Gautam shared that they distributed 750 set of surgical masks, 200 sets of sanitizer bottles, 200 set of face shield and 10 set of steamers to the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchowk.
The ANFSU will provide safety gears to all the municipalities, rural municipalities and isolation centres in the district, pledged secretary Gautam.
Meanwhile, FNJ Kavrepalanchowk chapter has set up Emergency Relief Fund worth Rs 500,000. The Fund aims to provide support to the journalists facing problems while working in the forefront during the ongoing second wave of Covid-19.
The ANFSU close to CPN (UML) Madhav Nepal group has donated Rs 15,000 to the Fund. Several other senior journalists in the district have also contributed to the Fund.
