Baniyani, Oct 2 : An Indian national has been arrested along with narcotic substance brown sugar from Kachanakawal-1, the rural municipality in the southern part of Jhapa district bordering with India.
The arrested has been identified as 32-year-old Farbed Alam of Sukhanadigi Padampur, Kishangunj, Bihar in India, District Police Office Jhapa's Deputy Superintendent Rakesh Thapa said.
A police team deputed from the District police Office Jhapa arrested Alam on Thursday while carrying out a checking at Bagan at Kachanakabal while he was coming towards Nepal from India. Police confiscated 11.65 grammes brown sugar from him. Alam has been kept at the District police Office Jhapa for necessary action, police stated.
