Kathmandu, Nov. 4: Visiting Indian Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane visited Basantapur Durbar Square today. He arrived here today on a three-day visit at the official invitation of CoAS Purna Chandra Thapa.
During the tour, the Indian CoAS observed the Kumari Ghar and other temples and structures of archealogical importance in the area, according to Nepal Army spokesperson Santosh Ballav Poudel.
Also this evening, the Indian CoAS visited the Pashupati temple premises and paid obeisance to Lord Pashupatinath from across the Bagmati river, as the temple remains closed due to COVID-19. He also performed arati at the Bagmati river bank.
On Thursday, the Indian CoAS is scheduled to receive the honorary title of Nepal Army general from President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
