Baniyani, Nov 1: An Indian citizen was arrested with narcotic drug, brown sugar from Mechinagar-6, Jhapa.
A police team from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Kakarvitta arrested Sadhik Alam,25, a resident of Khorobari in West Bengal, India in possession of 26 grams of brown sugar on Saturday evening, according to District Police Office, Jhapa spokesperson DSP Rakesh Thapa.
Alam was smuggling the narcotics into Nepal from India, when he was arrested during a routine checking. He has been taken into custody for further investigation and necessary action at the Area Police Office, Kakarvitta.
