Several Lamas, Khenpos and Rinpoches worked very hard to establish Gompas, Temples, Monasteries, Nunneries and Buddhist study institutes in many countries around the world.
Under their leadership, the Buddha's doctrine began to flourish in India and Nepal, the birth place of Shakyamuni Buddha. Most of the Mahayana Buddhist religion was successfully founded including the performance of Monlam festivals in Bodhgaya, Saranath, Kushinagar and Lumbini.
H.E. Rinpoches of the Ka-nying Shedrub Ling Monastery (Seto Gompa) assisted this revival by their generous Dharma activities sponsoring the prayer gathering of Nyingma and Kagyu tradition. In these Dharma activities, Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche played an important part as a religious ritual master.
At ten years of age, Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche began his Dharma Studies at Rumtek Shedrub Chokorling Monastery. Beginning with reading and writing, he fully became mastered in the Ritual Arts including playing horns, drums, ritual dance, drawing mandalas and chanting melodies.
Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, a great Tibetan Dzogchen meditation teacher, is the father of Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche. Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, Tsoknyi Rinpoche and Mingyur Rinpoche are brothers of Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche.
His two sons have been recognised with the title of Rinpoche based on their reincarnation. Phakchok Rinpoche is the reincarnation of the Taklung Kagyu lineage and Khyentse Yangsi, the reincarnation of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.
Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche, born in 1953, is the 4th incarnation of the 19th century Nyingma master of Terchen Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa and indisputably one of the foremost discoverers of Padma Sambhava's hidden dharma treasures.
Terchen Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa revealed so far 40 volumes of Vajrayana practices and pith instructions now widely practiced by both the Nyingma and Kagyu lineages.
At his own Monastery, Seto Gompa, he bestowed the complete Empowerments and Transmissions of the Chokling Tersar which he granted to the Gyalwang Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje (India).
The Chokgyur Lingpa foundation created by Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche supports many different activities including religious and humanitarian projects through the Monastery Education Fund. The health care projects are aimed at providing treatments throughout Nepal where needed through the Vajravahari Healthcare Clinic.
The Chokgyur Lingpa foundation is also building Zangdok Paltri, a model of Padma Sambhava's Pure land in Vajravarahi (Patan District).
In addition to bringing the great benefit of the Dharma to the people of Nepal. Rinpoche traveled abroad to many foreign countries where he founded Dharma Centers and shared the nectar of the Dharma.
Unfortunately in 2017, our kind and precious teacher Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche fell ill. His family members, wife Dechen Paldron, his two sons, daughters, his brother Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche took him for medical care to a hospital in Singapore.
Despite receiving best medical care, our peerless teacher Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche passed away into Parinirvana on Dec 18th 2020. His disciples around the world have been coming forward to pay homage to the Rinpoche's Kudung, enshrined in the shrine hall of the Kanying Shedrub Ling monastery Boudha Phulbari, Kathmandu.
In short, his Dharma contribution will forever be remembered in the hearts of Dharma devotees.
Lastly, for the benefit of all beings, we pray with our inner heart for Rinpoche's rebirth as the time permits.
