Kathmandu, March 11: Home Secretary Maheshwor Neupane has directed the Nepal Police Hospital, Maharajgunj to ensure prompt and quality service delivery.
Following his inspection to the hospital today, he pledged to ensure required support to the hospital to enhance physical facilities and increase service quality.
"The response and behaviour of health professionals will reflect the hospital quality and health employees should be aware of this aspect. The hospital should treat every patient equally," he asserted.
Similarly, the home secretary vowed to help the hospital strengthen the quality of hospital's lab, increase the number of beds, and to start nursing classes.
He visited the radiology department, medical ward, post-operative ward, dental department, orthopedic ward, gynecological and maternity ward, surgical ward, VIP deluxe ward, ICU, and proposed coronavirus quarantine ward and isolation ward on the occasion.
Inspector General of Police Thakur Prasad Gyawali said the modernisation of the hospital by making it self-sufficient was the top priority of the institution. He said it was an opportunity of police employees to perform duty being associated to medical service sector, expressing his hope the employees would give their best performance keeping the service at the centre.
