Damauli, June 18 : Heifer International Nepal has provided Rs 2.7 million to four local governments in Tanahu district in their fight against COVID-19.
The organisation with a mission to end hunger and poverty around the world has contributed the financial assistance to the COVID Fund of the four municipalities in the district where its programmes are being implemented.
Accordingly, Heifer International has supported Rs 1.5 million to Devghat Rural Municipality, Rs 400 thousand to Bhimad Municipality, Rs 400 thousand to Byas Municipality and Rs 400 thousand to Shuklagandaki Municiplity.
The financial assistance would be used for procuring medical supplies and equipment as oxygen cylinder, liquid oxygen, oxygen concentrator, ventilator and X-ray machine, and building isolation facilities and COVID hospital.
