Kathmandu, Jan 13: With the rising cases of Coronavirus infection lately, the Ministry of Health and Population has decided to manage the required number of human resources for the health institutions.
A minister-level decision was made to extend the three-month-long contract of the entire health workers hired on a contract basis required for all teaching hospitals, academies, hospitals and laboratories, Ministry’s Assistant Spokesperson Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari said.
According to Dr Adhikari, the health institutions have been directed on Thursday to renew the contract period for three months beginning the first of Magh month (15 January) and to ensure management of the required number of human resources in all the hospitals.
With the spread of the Omicron variant of coronavirus, the number of infected ones has rapidly increased in the recent days with 3,553 new cases on Thursday alone.
