Kathmandu, July 23 : The price of gold has increased by Rs 500 per tola in the domestic market today, the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Associations stated. One tola is equivalent to 1.66 grammes.
The Federation has fixed the price of hallmark gold at Rs 94 thousand 500 and that of tejabi (worked) gold at Rs 94 thousand 60 for Thursday. The price of the yellow metal had surged by Rs 1,300 per tola on a single day on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the price of hallmark gold was Rs 94 thousand per tola and that of worked gold was Rs 93 thousand 560. Similarly, the price of silver has gone up by Rs 10 per tola and reached Rs 1,145.
