Ranjha, May 30 : The COVID-19 death rate in Banke has significantly dropped in the past 12 hours. The district-based health facilities have reported four deaths overnight and they all are from outside the district. Prior to this, this figure was 15-17.
The District Covid Crisis Management Center’s resource person Tej Oli said majority of people hospitalised here for COVID-19 and succumbing to the virus are from outside the district. So far, Banke reports 288 COVID-19 deaths within from the district and 279 from outside the district.
The latest deceased are from Dang, Bardiya and Salyan. They are a 42-year-old woman from Tulsipur Sub Metropolis-4, Dang; a 42-year-old male from Basgadhi Municipality -3, Bardiya; a 61-year-old male from Bagchaur Municipality-8, Salyan; and a 58-year-old woman from Badhaiyatal Rural Municipality-5, Bardiya, it is said.
