By Amrit Prasad Poudel, Beni, Mar. 11: Five passengers were injured when a taxi with the number Dha 1 Ja 475 met with an accident in Beni. The taxi was returning to Beni from Galeshwor temple carrying devotees.
Galeshwor temple of Myagdi in Beni Municipality 1 is a very popular temple among the devotees. The five passengers who met with an accident belonged to one family who had boarded into taxi after visiting the temple.
The district police officer of Myagdi district Doctor Prasad Chaudhary has said that due to the reckless driving of the driver 5 passengers of Kushma Municipality 5 were injured. The names of the injured are a 65-year-old Prithivi Narayan Poudel, a 9-year-old Himanshu Poudel, a 43-year-old Sunita Poudel, a 30-year-old Laxmi Sharma and a 4-year-old Himani Poudel.
The passengers sustained injuries to the head as well other parts of the body. Even though the passengers are out of danger Beni hospital has referred them for further treatment. The taxi plunged down after the driver exited the vehicle after starting the engine.
