Janakpurdham, Mar. 3: Chief Minister of State-2 Lalbabu Raut has pointed out the need of determining a long-term vision making Janakpurdham as the state capital, keeping its identity, specialty and necessity in mind.
Inaugurating the 'Janakpurdham 2020: Long-term Vision, Determination and Inclusive Economic Plan Formulation Seminar' organised by Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan City here today, Chief Minister Raut opined that all should seriously think to develop Janakpurdham as cultural, commercial, educational and healthy city.
The state government was ready to help in all possible ways for the development of Janakpurdham, he added.
The Chief Minister said selling the land of Birgunj sugar mill by the federal government was attack on the right the state government, blaming the federal government of giving priority to old mentality without handovering the public land to the state government.
He also warned of launching agitation against the federal government in days ahead as the development activities have not taken speed in the state due to the mentality of secretaries assigned by the federal government not to let development activities occurred in the state.
The workshop will run till Wednesday.
