Rupandehi, June 29: A father and son died in a road accident that took place at Kalauni in ward no. 8 of Saina Maina municipality this afternoon. Tek Bahadur Pariyar, 50, and his 30-year-old-son Santosh of Bankatta in ward no. 1 of the municipality died in the incident.
Severely injured in the accident, both died during treatment at the Lumbini state hospital, according to State Traffic Police Office, Butwal spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Dilli Narayan Pandey. Santosh was a police constable, deputed at the District Police Office in Kapilvastu.
The accident took place as the motorcycle (Lu. 52 Pa. 6229) that the father son duo was travelling on towards the west from Butwal hit a car (Lu. 2 Cha. 8529) coming from the opposite direction, police said.
