By Narendra Dhakal, Gorkha, July 3: An elderly couple died in a landslide which buried their house at Siranchowk Rural Municipality - 7 of Gorkha district. Ward chair Suraj Dhakal said that the deceased was identified as 86 year's Raman Pandey and his wife Nanda Kumari Pandey of age 68.
"Only both were in the house, landslide fell at night time," Ward chair Dhakal said, "Their neighbour called me in the early morning and I've reached here at 6 AM. Since we were not been able to rescue, we informed the police."
A team deployed from Area Police Office Jaubari and locals have pulled out the dead bodies.
Dhakal added that the people from vulnerable places of the ward were resettled in other places.
