Ranjha, June 20 : The COVID-19 situation now seems to be normal in Banke remaining as one of the ‘hotspots’ for the pandemic.
The number of people currently receiving treatment for COVID-19 in several district-based hospitals is just 74.
Among them,13 are from the district and remaining 61 are from outside the district, according Tej Oli, resource person for the District CoVID-19 Crisis Management Center, Banke. As he said, beds allotted for COVID-19 cases in the hospitals here are becoming vacant as the infection rate is gradually slowing down in the district.
There are a total of 361 dedicated beds for COVID-19 patients in four small and large health facilities in the district.
Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj; Kohalpur-based Teaching Hospital, Western Hospital and the United Hospital here provide treatment for COVID-19 cases.
