Doti, Oct 23 : The Dipayal Silgadhi municipality in Doti has decided to include unmarried single women above 50 in its social security scheme.
Municipality officiating administrative officer Bhojraj Sharma confirmed the local government's decision to provide social security allowance to those unmarried women above 50 and single, from coming November-December until alternative arrangements are made for them. The municipality is collecting statistics of the population falling under this category. It has adopted a policy of operating skill-enhancement training for them as well.
Prior to this, the Melauli rural municipality in Baitadi had announced the social security allowance for those men staying single following the passing away of their wives.
