Jumla, Oct 31 : The Hima rural municipality in the district has implemented the digital integrated tax system.
The rural municipality has enforced this specially for collection of property tax.
The digital system has been enforced in property tax collection in order to avoid tax leakage and financial transparency, said the rural municipality chair Raj Bahadur Shahi. The system has been brought into use in all the 7 wards of the rural municipality.
According to information technology officer Bhim Bahadur Rawat, the rural municipality has designated four areas for property tax collection including business, residential, agriculture and forest sectors.
Furthermore, the people will no longer have to travel to the rural municipality office to pay tax. They can now do it from their respective ward office.
