Myagdi, Nov 18 (RSS):
A building has been constructed at the Base Camp of Dhaulagiri Mountain for operating a Tourist Information Centre. Mt Dhaulagiri is the seventh highest mountain in the world. It is 8,167 metres tall and is located in Myagdi.
Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality is setting up the information centre to maintain the statistics of tourists and climbers, to provide the basic medical services and to provide information.
The three-room building has been constructed at an investment of Rs 3.1 million of the Gandaki State government's ministry of industry, forest and tourism, Rural Municipality technician Balkrishna Poudel said.
Rural Municipality chairperson Thamasara Pun informed that the Tourist Information Centre would be operated from the next climbing season after the building is painted and furnished.
