Ratnanagar, Dec 10 : Agriculture fair is to be organized at Devghat – a popular destination for religious tourists in Chitwan.
According to Devghat rural municipality, the agro event is to be organized to promote local agriculture production.
Durga Bahadur Thapa, Chairperson of the rural municipality, informed they have engaged efforts to develop the rural municipality as an organic agro model rural municipality.
The first agro fair is taking place in the southern belt of the district on 12-14 December. There will be as many as 50 stalls.
The rural municipality is also making arrangement for the sale and distribution of organic fruits, vegetables and spices as part of its plan to develop Devghat as a pocket area for organic farming.
The host is also preparing some cultural programmes with local customs of ethnic groups so as to attract visitors. ---
