Kathmandu, Oct. 13: CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said he is shocked by the news about the deaths of people in recent road accidents that took place in different parts of the country including Mugu, Kaski and Achham.
In a press statement today, the former Prime Minister has extended heartfelt tributes to the departed souls and extended deep condolences to the bereaved families. Wishing for quick recovery of the injured, he has demanded the government ensures proper compensation to the victims and free treatment for the injured.
It may be noted that 32 people were killed in the Mugu bus accident alone on Tuesday.
He also drew the attention of all bodies concerned towards the prevention of such incidents in the days ahead, citing that road fatalities were rising day by day due to the poor condition of roadways, overload and lack of proper maintenance of vehicles and regulation on the part of bodies concerned.
