Waling, Dec 20 : Ninety nine per cent of people above 18 years of age in Syangja district have been administered first dose of COVID-19 vaccines so far, the district health office said.
Of the target group of 163,840 people above the age group, 162,382 have been administered first dose, said the health office chief Basundhara Sharma.
Similarly as of Friday, 119,785 people have been vaccinated fully, he said. The vaccines administered to the target group included Vero Cell, Covishield, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. "Preparations are underway to administer second dose," said Sharma.
Similarly, preparations are afoot to administer the vaccines to the people between the age group 12-17, he said.
