Kathmandu, April 3 : A Corona Control Cooperative Centre has been set up at the Manmohan Memorial Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Swoyambhu.
The centre is set up under the leadership of the National Cooperatives Federation of Nepal Ltd. Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Padma Kumari Aryal, inaugurated the Centre amidst a programme on Thursday, on the occasion of the 63rd National Cooperative Day.
Addressing the programme, Minister Aryal said the Centre has been established on the National Cooperative Day with the message that cooperative is also a service-oriented institution.
"Cooperatives are institutions providing services to the people reaching at their doorstep. Cooperatives can support the people through their members when the country is in crisis of COVID-19 by telling people not to panic, remain alert and identify the possible risk. They have been also doing this and this Centre is an example of the same," she said.
