Siraha, Feb 6: Siraha district has reported zero cases of Corona Virus infection, 11 months after the virus was first detected. As of Friday, no new case of Corona Virus has been reported in Siraha, said Chief District Officer Pradip Raj Kandel.
All the quarantine and isolation centres are now without any suspected and infected people, hence empty since the past few days.
So far, 12,450 people underwent a test for Corona Virus in the district, with 1,648 of them testing positive. Among them, 25 died while the rest recovered to their normal health, according to Chief of District Health Office, Krishna Dev Yadav.
Meanwhile, 3,287 people were administered the COVID-19 vaccine in the district, in the first phase of the vaccination programme. The target was to immunize 3,930 people, with a majority of the health workers, and other frontline workers.
