Kathmandu, June 23 : A meeting of the National Assembly (NA) today unanimously approved a proposal seeking to send the Copyright (First Amendment) Bill, 2076 to the Legislation Management Committee for its clause-wise discussions.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, had presented this proposal in the meeting.
Although the NA, the upper house of the Federal Parliament, was scheduled to pass the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (Third Amendment) Bill 2076 BS and the Corruption Control (First Amendment) Bill 2076 BS today, the Assembly chair Ganesh Prasad Timilsina informed the meeting that this was removed from the agenda.
The NA will next meet at 11 am on June 25.
