Chitwan, July 3: The Narayangadh-Muglin road continues to be obstructed due to landslides triggered by heavy rainfall in different locations on the road. The road remains almost closed for traffic for the past three days.
Landslide is taking place in Seti Dobhan, Charkilo and Panchkilo at regular intervals, with Seti Dobhan a new location for landslide starting this year, information officer at the Division Road Office, Chitwan Shiva Khanal said. The landslide debris cannot be removed immediately as landslip continues to take place with incessant rainfall.
The road was open for traffic only for four hours on Thursday and two hours on Friday, said the chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Chitwan Bhagwandas Thapa. As a result, a large number of vehicles and their passengers remain stranded on the road.
Meanwhile, the landslide has also been reported in Ghoptebhir and Kurintar of Prithivi highway, bring traffic to a standstill.
