By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 9: A poem recitation programme to protest against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) was held at Basantapur today.
Entitled as the 'Poems for justice, the poem recitation cum demonstration was staged by the youths who chose to stand against the developing anarchy in the country.
It is a protest which is expressed using the medium of poetry against political regression caused by the dissolution of the HoR and political instability which is inevitable following the HoR dissolution, said Bhabi Bishwokarma, a participating poet.
He recited a poem titled, ‘Baluwatar Ko Madal”, and then Nirvik Jung Rayemajhi came up with a poem 'Shital Niwas Ko Garmi and then Anshu Khanal narrated the poem entitled 'Who is he'.
Saying that poem is a powerful medium to protest, Nabin Pyassi, added that the programme aimed at evoking the feelings of patriotism in all the responsible citizens and urged everyone to utilize whatever means they possess to resist any untoward actions.
