Kathmandu, Aug. 6: The charity foundation of Changzhou and Shenzhen Hongfa Temple under the auspices of Chinese Buddhist Association and organisation of Chinese Buddhist Monasteries have provided surgical masks and other health supplies to Nepal.
The health supplies provided by these organisations in the first lot have been handed over to Nepal Trans Himalayan Society today as per the decision of providing health supplies in order to help Nepal in its effort to control coronavirus pandemic.
International member of the Chinese Buddhist Association and Director of Chinese Buddhist Monastery in Lumbini, Xi Chong Yong, handed over the health supplies to Society chairperson, Prof Dr Rajeev Kumar Jha.
As per the plan to provide 1.337 million masks and health supplies to Nepal, 777,000 masks have been provided so far, said Director Yong.
Similarly, 620,000 surgical masks have been provided to Lumbini Development Trust on the behalf of the organisation of Chinese Buddhists Monasteries.
Director Yong shared different Chinese organisations related with Buddhism have been providing necessary health supplies to Nepal to prevent and control coronavirus and such support would also be continued in days ahead.
