Baglung, Feb 3 : Children of flood-affected area of Dhorpatan municipality have been aided with educational materials and winter wears. The students of Suprang-based Janachetana school and Saraswoti primary school of Sukurdung were provided with the aid materials.
The flood that occurred at Bhujikhola on last September 2 had affected the local communities of Dhorpatan municipality.
The aid was channelized through 'Health and Disadvantaged Children Revolving Fund' instituted on the initiative of Tika Rana and Junu Rana of Baglung who are currently residing in Hong Kong.
Revolving fund's operator Bijaya Rana shared that the educational materials and winter wears were aided to five students from each two schools.
President of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Baglung chapter Dil Shirsh and Dhorpatan municiplaity-7, ward chair Deepak Thapa jointly handed over the assistance to the children.
Rana informed that the assistance materials worth amounting to Rs 60,000 were provided to the indigent students.
