By Rajan Raut, Simkot, July 1: A child has got his face burnt by the flames of the fire of frying fan while frying vegetbels.
Suresh Rawal, 13, of Chhipra village, at ward number 4 of Kharpunath Rurual Munitipality, got his face and eyes burnt by the flames that erupted as he put pieces of onion onto the heated cooking oil in the frying pan, according to the victim's father, Gopal Rawal.
He said that the heated oil that came along with the flames had burnt the face while particles of heated oil even entered both the eyes causing severe difficulty in seeing.
The child is undergoing treatment at the Humla district hospital.
Although the hospital, after providing primary treatment, has referred for taking the child to a well-facilitated health facilities outside the district, problems for further treatment have been arisen due to extremely weak economic condition of the child's family.
Bam Bohara, eye doctor/osteopathic doctor, said that treatment of the eyes was needed immediately as the case was very serious. The child is waiting for helping hands for further treatment so that his eyesight is protected.
