Chitwan, March 7 : A cub of a Cheetah was found dead on the East-West highway last night. The baby Cheetah is believed to have died after being hit by a vehicle along the highway in the Tikauli jungle.
The cub was found dead some 300 meters east of the Tikauli check post, according to information officer at Division Forest Office, Chitwan, Bal Krishna Khanal. The female Cheetah of around eight months old was found dead with injuries hit by a vehicle.
The dead cub has been brought to the forest office, while an investigation is being carried out into the incident, and to find the driver behind it, Khanal said.
