Kailali, March 24: Central member of the Nepali Congress Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has said the existing political alliance should be continued till the upcoming elections.    

It has been evident that the existing ruling alliance was capable of taking the country on a right track and it would be better if the coalition members continued with the unity until the elections    

Also the spouse of the Prime Minister, Deuba was confident that the local level elections slated for May 13 would be held as per schedule. “The elections will be held as per constitutional provision and on the announced date, so we now on should gear up for it. “    

Speaking at a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union Kailali chapter at Dhangadhi today, the NC central member took time to make it clear that people’s favourite leader would be given the opportunity to fight for the upcoming elections on behalf of the party. A person who is people’s choice knows about people’s issues at the local level and their needs, she reminded.    

In response to a query where she would be competing in the election, she said she was familiar with the people of Kailali and would test her luck from there provided that the party adjudged her capable.
