Khalanga, June 16 : River Product Mining Monitoring Committee has directed the bodies concerned to immediately stop the ongoing illegal river mining in Jumla rivers.
A team under the coordination of Chief of District Coordination Committee, Jumla, Lal Bahadur Sarki, headed for the monitoring, has directed the authorities to excavate the river products only after issuing public tender.
The team issued such directives after monitoring Jawa river area at Patarasi rural municipality where the illegal mining was unabated.
Chief Sarki said that preparation has been made to issue directives after monitoring the ongoing excavation in all the rivers in the district. River products are being extracted illegally from Hima, Tila and Jawa rivers in Jumla.
