Kathmandu, July 31 : The Community School Management Committees has called for clarifying the roles of management committee in the operational procedure of school that remained closed due to corona pandemic and lockdown.
Issuing a press release on Thursday, Federation chair Krishna Thapa demanded active roles of local governments and school management committees for the resumption of school operations. He said this while presenting his recommendations to the Education Development and Human Resource Centre under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
The Federation has drawn its attention over sheer ignorance in the management of procedure for health security of students, teachers and employees.
The Federation also furnished recommendations including sanitizing quarantine and isolation ward set up at schools prior to the operation of schools, arrangement of alternative plan and budget for the safety of students and teachers and conducting psychosocial counseling and setting up of primary health ward at schools.
The federation suggested resuming the operation of school only after a week of the implementation of all the recommended measures.
The government is making preparation to open enrollment of students from coming August 20 and run classes from August 31.
