Morang, Dec 12 : Tourism entrepreneurs have arrived in Biratnagar to promote the 'let's go Pokhara' campaign.
The entrepreneurs are on a nationwide promotional tour to help revive tourism in the lake city, that has been severely hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking at an interaction organised by the Western Regional Hotel Association Pokhara on Friday, speakers called for investment in infrastructure as well as easy air and land transport service to promote tourism, which is a source of foreign exchange as well as employment in the country.
They also called for immediate opening of the border points with India in order to allow Indian tourists visit various tourist destinations in the country. They called for direct tourist bus as well as daily flights from Biratnagar to Pokhara.
Chairperson of the Association Bikal Tulachan said hotel as well as other services in Pokhara were now available in 50 per cent cost, while 20 per cent discount is given on food.
Tourism entrepreneurs, travel agents and media persons of Biratnagar took part in the interaction.
