Damauli, Aug 9 : Tanahun's Byas municipality has decided to grant public holiday on the occasion of the 27th International Day of the World's Indigenous People.
The executive meeting of the municipality held on August 6 decided to announce public holiday on the occasion.
Municipality's Chief Administrative Officer, Dilliram Sigdel shared that all offices under the municipality, ward offices, health facilities (excluding emergency service) would remain closed on the public day.
However, the vaccination drive against COVID-19 would continue, stated a press release issued by the municipality.
Different local levels of the district have been announcing public holidays to mark the special occasions such as Byas Jayanti, Martyr Day, Bhanu Jayanti, Magar Day and Ekadashi festival.
