Kathmandu, Feb 16 : A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee has begun at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor to finalise agenda for today’s House of Representatives ( HoR)’s session.
Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota is chairing the meeting being attended by Home Minister Balkrishna Khand, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dilendra Prasad Badu and Nepali Congress Chief Whip Pushpa Bhusal.
They are representing the major ruling NC in the meeting.
Among others joining the meeting are CPN (Maoist Centre) chief whip Dev Prasad Gurung, whip Rekha Sharma, CPN (Unified Socialist) chief whip Jeevan Ram Shreshtha and Umashankar Argariya Loktantrik Samajbadi Party. However, the main opposition CPN (UML) is absent in the meeting.
The meeting is expected to discuss about the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the US-aid proposal, deciding whether to include it in the agenda for today’s session of the Lower House.
