Gorkha, June 18 : The flooded Budhigandaki river after the incessant rainfall occurred for some days swept away two houses at Dharche Rural Municipality-1 in the district of Gorkha.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Prakash Dahal, the river swept away the houses of locals Raj Kumar Dhakal and Gopal Ghale on Thursday evening. Other properties were also swept by the swollen river.
DSP Dahal said that the displaced families have been rescued and are kept in their neighbourhood. “They are taking shelter in their neighbours’ houses. Other families at risk are also shifted,” DSP Dahal stated.
Similarly, seven houses at Yaru bank are at high risk of flood, police said.
