Banepa, July 3: The flood-fed Mamdi rivulet flowing through Roshi rural municipality-12 caused disruption of road traffic along the BP Highway.
Incessant rain since Friday triggered the flood in the rivulet and mudslide from above the road which blocked the highway.
Roshi Rural Municipality Chairperson Dal Bahadur Lama said the vehicular movements from Kathmandu to Ramechhap, Sindhuli and eastern Terai and vice-versa have been disrupted with the pile-up of debris on the road.
A vehicle stuck in the debris was taken out and efforts are underway to resume the vehicular traffic along the highway, he said. Torrential rain and increasing water levels in the rivulet however have troubled the removal of debris.
Police said that though three vehicles got stuck on the muddy road the passengers were rescued.
