By Our Correspondent, Gaur, Feb. 5: Even though the Nepal-India border, which was closed by the government 10 months ago to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, has opened, cross-border movement is still restricted.
Vehicles, both two-wheelers and four-wheelers, are still not allowed to pass through Gaur-Bairgania border, causing great inconvenience to the people.
However, the Gaur Customs Office said that the cross-border movement had eased after the reopening of the border.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in Nepal, the local administration had closed the border points of the district to prevent the virus from entering the country, but it has now opened and travel has resumed, it said.
Indra Dev Yadav, chief district officer of Rautahat, informed that the border would be opened to vehicles very soon.
