Chitwan, Jan 3 : The Ratnanagar Municipality-3 in Chitwan district has distributed bicycles to the girl students from the community schools.
Chairman of Ward No. 3 Guptanath Bhattarai said that 37 students from grade 5 to 8 of Belsi Basic School were provided with bicycles to lure more girls to the school education and enhance quality of education.
Mayor Narayan Ban and Ward Chairman Bhattarai jointly handed over the bicycles to the beneficiaries.
During the programme, Mayor Ban said that the municipality initiated the bicycle distribution campaign to girls from this ward as the municipality could not afford bus service to the students in the community schools.
