Sindhupalchowk, June 20 : Some 40 households of Bhemathang from Helambu Rural Municipality, which suffered worst in the massive landslide recently, have been provided relief materials. Two organizations namely 'Hamro Janmabhumi', and 'Sahayatri' jointly provided the relief materials to the needy ones.
The people here have been receiving assistance from various sides now. The landslide and floods occurred five days back caused huge loss of life and physical properties.
The essential materials as rice, cooking oil, pulse, sugar, beaten rice, salt and soap were distributed to the survivors. The assistance was provided in the presence of ward member Jit Bahadur Tamang, local volunteer Som Tamang and police persons. Secretary of Hamro Janmabhumi Suman Shrestha and others attended the distribution event.
The materials worth Rs 200,000 were provided to the landslide survivors.
