Balewa, Sept 19 : The Baglung section of the Mid-hills Pushpalal Highway has been obstructed due to landslide caused by the incessant rain this morning. Landslide occurred at Inarpani of Kathekhola rural municipality and at Banskhola of Galkot municipality-9 has led to the obstruction of the highway at these two places due to the deposition of debris on the road.
Vehicular movement on the road section is halted since the morning today. Vehicles operating on short and long route to and from places as Burtibang, Kharbang, Galkot, among others in the western part of the district have been stranded.
Police said works are on since the morning to clear the road and the landslide debris would be cleared by the afternoon today, Chief of Baglung District Traffic Office, Shiva Pathak, said. He said it will take time to clear the road as the landslide is quite big.
