By Our Correspondent, Jhapa, Mar. 27: B and C Hospital, a well-facilitated hospital at Birtamod of Jhapa district in State 1, has announced that it would let the government use the hospital for treatment of COVID-19 patients.
Amid the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital has decided to make efforts in helping the government to prevent infection of the virus, said Durga Prasain, Executive Director of the hospital by issuing a press statement on Friday.
Prasain said that the hospital couldn’t test and treat patients as the government was unable to provide it with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sets and and other related medical supplies.
The press statement mentioned that the hospital is equipped with 100-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICUs), 800 normal beds, 25 ventilators and 500 beds for quarantine.
105 doctors and health workers would be deployed from today itself if the government were to provide salaries for the health workers to be involved in treating the COVID-19 patients, read the statement.
