Kathmandu, July 17 : Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa has directed the entire army rank and file to keep army norms and values, conducts, patriotism, selfless service motivation and higher discipline.
Inaugurating a weeklong programme on code-of-ethics 2020 at Nepal Army Headquarters at Bhadrakali, Thapa said the code-of-ethics is a useful guideline for life between and beyond the service.
"As the system-based organization is the salient feature and foundation of the professional army, it demands seriousness of every army personnel to comply with the code-of-ethics", Army Chief Thapa said.
The NA has conducted the weeklong code-of-ethics programme since last year to inform all rank and file of the Nepal Army about the dos and dons during and after service.
During the weeklong orientation, matters related to army ethics, media policy, use of social media, human conducts, recruitment, financial transaction and gender conducts will be discussed through presentation, lecture and exercise methods.
According to the NA Directorate of Public Relations and Information, the programme has been designed in such a way that all rank and file of the army could attend through electronic medium.
