Khandbari, Jan 16 : Armed Police Force (APF) has established a border outpost (BOP) at Kimathanka checkpoint in Bhotkhola rural municipality-1.
APF sources said this was so far the first armed police post along the northern border. Brigadier chief of APF Eastern Region Headquarters Nagendra Bahadur Thapa and Chief District Officer Jeewan Dulal jointly inaugurated the police post on Wednesday.
The post is around 162-km away from Sankhuwasabha district headquarters, Khandbari. A two-storey building has been taken on rent for the setup of police post.
The BOP based in Kimathanka is located in a kilometer from Nepal-China border, informed the APF sources. With this the number of BOP of APF has reached 112. ---
