Kailali, April 19 : The Armed Police Force (APF) has established its two Border Outposts (BOPs) in Kailali on Sunday.
According to the APF Nepal Number 34 battalion, BOP Kalapatal was set up in Bhajani municiplaity-6 and BOP Halaunaghat in Bhajani municipality-7 of the district.
Brigade commander of APF Nepal Number 7 Baidyanath brigade headquarters Kailali DIG Praveen Kumar Shrestha and Bhajani municipality's deputy chief, Chhaya Devkota jointly inaugurated the BOPs.
On the occasion, APF DIG Shrestha said a big responsibility has come to the shoulder of the security personnel for the service and security of the state and the people.
BOP's major tasks are to provide border security, control crime and prevent illegal import and export.
Bhajani municipality's deputy chief Devkota said the residents of border area have felt a sigh of relief with the establishment of BOPs.
