By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Dec. 10: Association of Nepali Teraian in America (ANTA) has distributed relief materials to 100 poor Dalit families in Janakpur.
A bag of 25 kg rice, a blanket and other materials have been handed over to each poor family amid a function on Saturday, ANTA president Aprajita Jha said.
According to Jha, the beneficiaries of the relief assistance were the locals of Ward Number 1, 7 and 24 of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City, who were hard hit by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
State 2 Assembly member Prameshwor Sah and ANTA CEC member Manish Singh had handed over the relief assistance.
The ANTA often extends such relief assistance to the vulnerable people of Terai.
