By Our Correspondent, Nepalgunj, Mar. 31: All Nepal National Independent Students Union (ANNISU) has demanded that all community and private schools of Banke should immediately return the fees they charged for the lockdown period.
ANNISU District Chairman Tekendra Malla on Wednesday handed over a letter to Ram Suresh Yadav, head of the Education Development and Coordination Unit of the district, demanding that the fees collected by the educational institutions for the shutdown period be refunded.
Stating that the schools had no alternative but to return the money, Malla warned of protest if the demands were not met.
Meanwhile, due to the increasing risk of COVID-19, the educational institutions in all the eight local levels of the district have been advised to be on high alert.
